That’s right, the cheaper the better, and shoppers made the most of the bargain opportunity.
Shoppers have filled their collections with 1p seeds and other gardening items that are also on sale for cheap.
Facebook users were stunned by the findings, and some said they were going to the stores on their own.
One user said: “Today I received a download in my locality. I spent more on the hatch bags to bring them home than on the ones I bought.
Another said: “I just picked up quite a bit for a Tombola too!”
And it looks like the bargains don’t stop there. Another savvy shopper shared the bargains they found at Sainsbury’s.
