Gas Prices Hit New Highs Again With All 50 States Above $4 a Gallon

Gas prices continued to rise across the US this week, and the pressure on pumps is unlikely to ease as the summer travel season begins.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the US hit a record $4.59 on Thursday. This is the highest national average recorded by AAA since it began tracking fuel costs in 2000. On average, prices are about 50 cents a gallon higher than they were a month ago. A year ago, the average cost of a gallon of gas was $3.04, according to the group.
