Genshin Impact devs release teaser for new game, Zenless Zone Zero

HoYoverse has been consistently rolling out new game releases over the past few years. Chinese developer has launched hugely popular gacha games, The Genshin effect and Tears of Themisas well as teasing the arrival of a new game Honkai: Star Rail. All this success allowed HoYoverse to experiment with even more games. And now, The Genshin effect The developer has released a new trailer for its upcoming game, Zenless Zone Zero.

The trailer has a nice classic countdown form. It is paired with a calendar that marks the days until the final official reveal. The calendar is out May 13, which implies we’ll get a full trailer or reveal of some sort this Friday. Also on the site is an ominous CRT television in the center of the screen, as well as a cute little clock perched on top.

You can really mess with the television. Doing so will reveal an intro video and a group of teenagers watching or some spooky dialogue about a man who is completely tormented by lies and conspiracies.

This is not fake

While the man in the voiceover clip complains about something being fake, this game definitely isn’t. That being said, we don’t know much about Zenless Zone Zero. However, you should expect it to mimic the format of HoYoverse’s tried and true open world gacha games like The Genshin effect and coming soon Honkai: Star Rail. HoYoverse has mastered the open-world gacha game format at this point, so this development shouldn’t come as a surprise.

All that said, we don’t know exactly what Zenless Zone Zero will follow based on this trailer. Although the game will obviously have some sort of shooting element (courtesy of Destructoid). Stay tuned for updates on Friday as we have more information and we’ll find out what’s behind this mysterious new game and what’s real and fake.
