Glass expert shares unusual 30p kitchen ingredient that cleans windows in seconds and leaves them streak-free

A GLASS expert has revealed how you can get your windows sparkling clean in no time.
They showed that an unlikely – and very affordable – kitchen ingredient can be used to get the surface streak-free in seconds.
John Cutts, glass expert at MeandMyGlass.co.uksaid: “It can be frustrating spending hours cleaning the house only to leave streaks and fingerprints on the surfaces.”
He added, “It’s important to understand that different types of glass items require different cleaning methods to maintain a pristine finish.”
Cutts said the only way to clean the inside of windows is with lemon juice.
He advised, “If you mix freshly squeezed lemons in water, you get a fragrant cleaning solution that you can use to remove all stains from windows.”

“Be sure to wipe over with a microfiber cloth first to remove any dust particles.”
You may be wondering how a humble lemon can help remove dirt — but the fruit has a number of handy cleaning properties.
It is rich in citric acid and full of antibacterial properties, making it easy to remove grease and dirt.
What’s more, it’s a natural cleaner, so you don’t have to worry about overuse around the home, and it also leaves a lovely fresh scent.
While Cutts recommends using a standard microfiber cloth first to remove dust, use a glass-specific cloth to wipe away the solution.
For example this one Minky M fabric glass & window The cloth, which costs £2.75 at Sainsbury’s, is made from tightly woven, high-density microfibre that can make surfaces sparkle.
As for the lemon juice, you can save the elbow grease and buy a bottle for £1.25 for 500ml tesco or 80p for 250ml Sainsbury’s.

However, if you’re trying to keep costs down, you can get your lemon juice the traditional way, squeezing the fruit yourself.
A lemon costs 30 pence tesco and it’s the same price Sainsbury’s.
