Global fast-food giant Jollibee arrives in Philadelphia with major buzz for their Filipino fried chicken

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Eater.com just named America’s best fried chicken chain, and it’s called Jollibee – known for its mascot, the happy bee.
The chain has been an institution in the Philippines since the 1970s, and now their fine dining is cooking up in Philly for the first time.
From marinated fried chicken on the bone to spicy chicken sandwiches, the restaurant’s menu also includes traditional Filipino fare like Palabok Fiesta – made with clear rice noodles with garlic sauce, sautéed pork and shrimp.
The spaghetti is also prepared Filipino-style, but don’t expect meatballs — the sauce is sweet and loaded with sliced hot dogs.
The Philadelphia location is the first in Pennsylvania, is located on Bustleton Avenue in the “big Northeast” and is open every day of the week.
