Immediately, a drive on I-24 turned the lives of Newsome and her fiance Austin Markos upside down. Saturday, around 8:40 p.m., witnesses said a black Dodge sedan was driving recklessly.

“They just crept in and out of traffic,” Newsome said, leading to a collision between the two cars, Markos explained.

The couple felt a bump and then their car started to lose control. “It felt like forever for a moment, but looking back, it happened so quickly. Before I knew it, we were on the ground,” said Newsome.

The vehicle overturned, the landing tilted, and Markos and Newsome were trapped inside. That’s when some good Samaritans ran to help. Markos said: “Thank God they were there in an instant.

The couple called out to the men who stopped their guardian angels as they cut their airbags and buckled their seat belts, helping them both get out in time. Newsome crawled out of the wreckage as the car quickly engulfed in flames.

“It is overwhelming how good God is, that we are protected and have guardian angels to help us.”
