BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Gorillaz, the virtual band co-founded and directed by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, will head to the Merriweather Post Pavilion this October for the group’s first tour since 2018.
In 2020, the band released a 20th anniversary luxury box set for its eponymous debut album, which included demos, remixes, and early Hewlett drawings.

Since then, the genre-bending group and their animation partners have released six albums, the latest of which, “Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez,” comes out in 2020 with an appearance by Beck. , St. Vincent, Robert Smith of Cure and Elton John, among others.

Supported by a 14-member live band, Albarn et al. is hitting the road for a 22-day North American tour, with a scheduled stop at the Merriweather Post Pavilion on October 17.
