Grieving mum wants two councillors sacked for suggesting the parents of disabled children are lazy and greedy

A grieving mother wants two city councilors fired for claiming the parents of disabled children are lazy and greedy.
One of the two, Sarah Hudson, hinted that some parents of severely disabled teenagers were looking for freebies.
The other, Simon Webb, said some wanted an essential EHCP care plan for their children because it was “trending”.
The couple spoke at a Kent County Council meeting earlier this month.
A coroner concluded that local council failures contributed to the 2020 death of Patricia Stanley’s son Sammy, 13.
The autistic boy died after falling in Ramsgate.
Mum Patricia, 56, said: “My son Sammy died because he didn’t get enough support from the council they are on.
“Through your deeply insulting remarks, you have shown that you have no sympathy for my grief.”
