Gwen Stefani reflects on her divorce from Gavin Rossdale and unexpected romance with Blake Shelton
In a new interview with People, Gwen Stefani reflected on her divorce from ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, calling it a “terrible” time in her life. The singer, who has three children with the rocker, said she had to start her life “all over again” after the very public split.

In a new interview with PeopleThe No Doubt singer reflected on that “terrible time,” telling the outlet that her life pretty much fell apart when she and Rossdale split in 2016.
“Everyone knows pretty well that my life fell apart at some point. The family has fallen apart. “It was terrible, and there are so many people out there who have gone through the same thing,” Stefani said. “When that happened I literally had to start all over again. It was a restart of my life.”
Stefani and Rossdale were together for over 20 years and the couple experienced everything from a paternity scandal to affair rumors before their relationship ended.
Stefani, who shares sons Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 9, with her ex, say about their relationship with their current husband. Blake SheltonShe didn’t expect that, nor did she expect to move to his home state of Oklahoma.
“I didn’t see any of that coming with Blake. That was just a big old ‘What?’ To be able to escape to Oklahoma, a place I would never have gone. “And when I met Blake, I felt at home and thought, ‘Oh, this is where I’m supposed to be with this guy,'” she said of falling in love with the country superstar after meeting on set in 2014 from ” The voice.
She continued: “It was an incredible gift to experience such love for the first time. It was just like, ‘Oh, this is it.’ And going to Oklahoma was like just experiencing a whole world that I didn’t know anything about.”

Stefani, meanwhile, is still in a coaching chair, joining Niall Horan, John Legend and newcomer Reba McEntyre on Season 24 of the singing competition series.
“I was really confused and thought, ‘What will it be like without Blake?’ But we have so much fun,” she said The voiceis the newest season. “Ultimately, I love coaching these very talented people.”
And she’s still working on music, telling the outlet that in addition to releasing new products from her GXVE beauty line, she just recorded two new songs. “It’s not easy,” she admitted, “but I definitely don’t want to just sit around. I want to produce. I want to make things.”
