However, when James appeared in his play A Little Life in March, his nude photos were leaked online.

The 37-year-old has now spoken about the incident – and revealed the support he received.

He said: “There was an unfortunate moment when I was objectified, the photos were taken and it was published in the tabloids.”

He continued: “What was incredibly encouraging and kind of heartwarming about this experience was the way the community, the theater community and just the wider community – people who were aware – really came together and spoke : ‘That’s just.’ ‘Not appropriate at all’.”

During the performance, James strips naked onstage and exposes himself.

Theatergoers will be warned to expect nudity before James’ show – and stickers to cover cameras will be distributed.

Despite the measures, pictures of James naked have been circulating on the internet.

Meanwhile, Norton’s next role is on screen could play James Bond, according to bookmakers.

With his distinctive jaw and English good looks, James has been a hot contender for the next 007 title for many years.

However, he has previously told people to “don’t bet” he will play Bond as he doubts he would get the role.

But his quintessentially British Cambridge education is an asset for James to take on the role of the slick Bond.

In December 2019, James gave a fascinating interview in which he discussed drinking strong martinis – 007’s signature cocktail, which has fueled speculation that he dropped references to the role.
