Headteacher reveals why parents SHOULD let kids miss school to go on holiday

A school principal has revealed that he takes his children out of school during school hours and thinks other families should do the same.

He added: “I did it with my kids and took them to Greece outside of the school holidays because their semester breaks have different dates and it was impossible to find a time that worked for both of them.”

Before going on vacation with his children, the father told the school about his plans and was not fined.

He said, “If I can do it, I think families can too.”

For well-attended children, the educator also explained that missing a few days of school is not a big problem.

But for the families and children who were constantly absent from school, the situation changed.

The principal also revealed that he had never fined a family for taking their children on vacation during school hours.

According to the Governor of Great Britain The site says any parent can be fined £60 for taking their children out of school during school hours.

This penalty can be up to £120 if the original penalty is not paid within 21 days.

In extreme cases, families can be fined up to £2,500 and prosecuted.

Despite the potential for fines, this school principal isn’t the only parent seeing the benefits of taking their child with them to school.

Faith Skeen, from South Texas, takes her two children, Chris, 15, and Zach, 11, from school to go on vacations, to music concerts, and to visit relatives.

She told Sun Online Travel, “I don’t think constant attendance is what’s best for children throughout their young lives, and I don’t think the school system should have such a widespread impact on us.” Houses.”
