Heather Locklear’s daughter, Ava Sambora, is completing her master’s degree at USC
“I hope she can help anyone who is struggling. I was there,” Locklear wrote after her daughter graduated in Family and Marriage Therapy.

Ava Sambora, who shares the 61-year-old Melrose Place graduate with her ex-husband Richie Sambora, graduated on Friday with a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Southern California.
Locklear shared a photo from the ceremony on Sunday and congratulated her daughter on the milestone.

“Such a proud mom,” Locklear captioned a photo of the 25-year-old accepting her diploma on stage. “Congratulations, my baby, on your Masters in MFT. To your hard work, perseverance and kindness.” [heart.]”
“I love you to the moon and back,” Sambora replied in the comments. “My mum!!! Thanks!!”
Ava also wrote about her graduation on her own page: She shares her official portraits She added that she was “extremely grateful for the last two years and all the wonderful people I’ve met in the process.” She also exclaimed, “Cheers to the 2023 class!”
Fans flocked to the comments on Heather’s post, congratulating the recent graduate and her parents for the support they have given their daughter.

The Perfect Man actress has been waiting to celebrate her daughter’s academic achievements.
Last month, Locklear announced in a video posted to Instagram that she’d received an invite to Ava’s graduation. The letter was addressed to “Mommy and Bonus Dad” and referred to Heather’s boyfriend, Chris Heisser.
Born in 1997, Ava is the only child of Locklear and Sambora, who were married from 1994 to 2007.
