Henry the Hoover undergoes radical makeover – but not everyone is impressed with his new look

HENRY the Hoover has a brand new look, but some fans were less than impressed.

Buyers were “sad” at his transformation, calling his fresh new look a “monstrosity.”

The handy household helper has been around since the 80s, so some might say it deserves a refresh.

Instantly recognizable by its red and white design and smiley face, it has become an icon in many homes.

But not anymore, there’s a new and slimmer Henry in town who’s turning heads.

According to the official Henry website, there are currently 15 different vacuum cleaner models available.

But most so far have stuck to the popular design we all know and love.

A photo was uploaded to reddit showing people Henry’s brand new look for the first time.

The new model is called ‘Henry Quick’ with the slogan: “Tell the dirty dump…”

The new version is cordless and enables “dust-free emptying”.

And could also be a more convenient option for smaller homes as it’s ‘lighter’ and ‘more versatile’.

Reddit user Albert Semple obviously wasn’t a fan of the new design, writing, “Sad news about Henry today.”

They added, “A true national treasure.”

Another user added, “Look how they massacred my boy.”

A third said: “No but seriously what is this monstrosity?”

But others liked the new “slim line” look.

One user said: “Good to see he’s adapting with the times slim is in!”

Another added: “He did this keto diet though. Good for him.”

The Henry Quick is currently available at a retail price of £299.99.
