Hero cop jumps into river in Glasgow to save woman, 21, who fell into water

A heroic police officer jumped into a river in Glasgow to save a woman who had fallen in.
The 21-year-old woman fell into the Whitecart River in the Pollok district on Friday evening.
Police officers quickly rushed to the young woman’s aid as she went into the water.
At that moment, the quick-thinking PC MacPherson entered the river and made his way to the woman.
The brave local officer then managed to get them to safety.
Rescue workers then arrived at the scene of the accident and took her to hospital as a precaution.


PC MacPherson’s actions have since been praised by police.
The officer was hailed by his colleagues as “brave and selfless.”
A social media post from Police Scotland’s Greater Glasgow Division said: “On Friday evening a 21-year-old woman fell into the Whitecart River, Pollok, and was injured by the brave and selfless actions of PC MacPherson, who entered the water. brought to safety.”
“The woman was taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precaution.”
