Hollyoaks casts the Hollywood movie star with the famous soap actress’ ex-wife as a mysterious new character

HOLLYOAKS has hired a Hollywood movie star with a very famous ex-wife to play a new character on the series.
Ryan Pope, who starred alongside Jonathan Rhys Myers in ’90s film Velvet Goldmine, will play the role of former prisoner Terry Smart.
Ryan, also known for his role as Psycho Paul on the bizarre sitcom Ideal, was married to Coronation Street’s Sally Carmen.
They were married from 2006 to 2011 before going their separate ways.
Ryan’s character is expected to play an old friend of Jack Osbourne’s (Jimmy McKenna).
The character is expected to make his debut in scenes that will air later this month.
Terry will also meet local mobster Norma Crow (Glynis Barber) after it is soon revealed that he has a secret connection to her past.
The Sun has reached out to Channel4 for comment.
Ryan’s ex Sally, who is known for playing Abi Franklin on the cobbles, remarried ten years after Ryan split.
She is now married to her co-star Joe Duttine, with whom she tied the knot in 2022.
Earlier this month, the couple took to Instagram to share snaps from their vacation together in Kraków, smiling broadly for a series of snaps on Instagram.
Sally, 42, also appeared to be joined by her parents after she flew to Kraków.
The star smiled with her birthday cake in the snap and showed off her short blonde tresses while keeping it casual in a colorful jacket.
In other snaps, Sally posed with her parents before strolling across a square with the family and enjoying the view.
The actress also curled up in a restaurant for a snap with her look-alike and curled up outside a pub with her boyfriend, Joe, 52.
“Considering I’m not that particular about birthdays, this one was an absolute blast. My family is awesome,” Sally captioned the post.
She also tagged her location in Kraków, Poland in the hashtags.
