One savvy mom found the scent at her local Home Bargains store and shared the find with her nearly 2,000 followers on TikTok.

Posting under the username lozzabee07, TikTokker showed viewers a bottle of White Lies she picked up for just £1.99.

She then held up her used bottle of Burberry Weekend and said that the Home Bargains scent was a “dupe” for the brand’s perfume.

She said: “I’m going to smell it and I’m going to rate it on a 10-point scale to see if it’s as good as this because it’s an elite perfume – I love this perfume.”

Lauren then did a smell test, sprayed the cheap bottle on her wrist, and she said, “Oh my god, that smells twice as much as that.

“So I would definitely recommend White Lies from Home Bargains – it smells like that.

“I can’t even believe it, it smells exactly the same, so if you like Burberry Weekend, get White Lies from Home Bargains and you won’t be disappointed.”

The video received dozens of comments from excited shoppers who wanted to check it out.

Some said they just bought it for £1.99 at the store and “love it”, while others called it “awesome”.

Another wrote: “In the end for the price you can’t go wrong. I love Burberry.”

One woman said: “Wow thank you hun, off to buy it.”

And a second person commented: “I got this month £1.99 of it smells exactly like Burberry, I stumbled across it to try – now buy some every time I come in.”

Others commented on how long the scent lasts, which can be a concern when buying a dupe perfume.

One commenter said: “I love this keep buying it all day and people always ask me what it is.”

Lauren also responded to one person who called the perfume “the best dupe” she’s ever bought.

Picking up this designer dupe can definitely save you cash, as a 100ml bottle of the real thing can cost you up to £89 in Superdrug.

While White Lies 100ml costs only £1.99 when bought at home.

However, the inexpensive scent is only available in the store and you won’t find it online.

It’s always worth calling your local store in advance to check how much they have in stock.
