Horizon Forbidden West actor's social media posts spark DLC rumors

Posts by Aloys Mocap actress on Instagram hinting that she is working on another game-related project have sparked rumors about Horizon Forbidden West DLC.

Horizon Forbidden West blew fans away when it released in February 2022 thanks to its sprawling, beautiful open world, as well as the gameplay refinements made by developer Guerrilla Games to both combat and exploration.

However, many fans are left hungry for more even after exploring everything Forbidden West has to offer.

However, fans might be in luck if social media posts from Aloy’s motion capture actress are anything to go by, as some believe she’s just teased the upcoming DLC.

Horizon Forbidden West Actor Sparks DLC Rumors

Rumors started after Instagram posts from Dutch actress Peggy Vrijens, who provided the mocap performance for Aloy in Horizon Forbidden West.

Three days ago, Vrijens posted a photo of herself and fellow actor Louis Van Beek working alongside Vrijens on Horizon Forbidden West.

The caption to Vrijen’s post with Van Beek says the pair “need to get some sun [their] Motion Capture Outfits,” suggesting they were both working on some kind of motion capture project.

Vrijens is working on another project with fellow mocap designer Louis Van Beek.

The next day, the mocap actor released another post, this time showing her fully in her mocap outfit with the caption, “Ready for some mocap action.”

Of course, excited fans started filling the comments with their hopes for this mysterious project surrounding Horizon Forbidden West DLC.

While it certainly makes sense that Vrijens and Van Beek could be working on Forbidden West themed content, there’s also a good chance it’s unrelated.

Vrijens posted a video on her Instagram showing that she’s ready for more mocap work.

Considering that Horizon Zero Dawn’s Frozen Wilds DLC was released just eight months after the main game’s launch on February 28, 2017, Guerrilla wouldn’t have much development time to work on DLC, assuming the main motion capture was picked up right now.

Still, Guerrilla could simply be planning to release Forbidden West’s DLC later in the year – or the development process could be more advanced than expected.

For now, fans just have to wait for an official announcement from Guerrilla Games on future DLC plans for Horizon Forbidden West.
