House destroyed in fire after night-long stand-off with suspect who shot at police in New Hanover Township

A home was destroyed in a fire following a late-night altercation with a suspect who shot police in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County.
NEW HANOVER TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) — A home was destroyed in a fire following a late-night altercation with a suspect who shot police in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County.
It all started shortly after 8 p.m. on Friday.
New Hanover Township Police responded to a domestic disturbance at Block 2000 of Little Rd in the Perkiomenville section of New Hanover Township, Montgomery County.
When police arrived, the suspect fired at responding officers and a barricade was erected.
The standoff lasted all night and into the morning.
Firefighters were called to a house fire just after 6 a.m.
Chopper 6 was over the scene just after 9 a.m. while firefighters were still working to put out the blaze.
So far, police have not told Action News what happened to the suspect.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
