Michigan’s proposed constitutional amendment would create a right to “reproductive freedom,” including access to abortion through fetal viability, which is approximately 24 weeks. The supporters had to collect 425,059 signatures. They submitted about 750,000, which according to news reports was the most ever for a Michigan initiative.
