With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Mike Reid has become a household name and accomplished restaurateur, appearing on numerous television shows and leading several restaurant groups Annual sales of 54 million per year. He was most recently a guest on Channel 4’s Competition series Five Star Chefwhich began streaming on Netflix in July 2023.
Five Star Chef follows a group of seven hopeful gourmet chefs as they vie for the opportunity of a lifetime: owning a restaurant at London’s prestigious Langham Hotel. Mike serves as one of the judges alongside the hotel’s executive chef, Michel Roux Jr., and pastry expert Ravneet Gill.

Here’s what Mike said in a conversation with open table:
“I was with Martin [Williams] “I’ve been at M Restaurants since the beginning,” Mike explained. “Our first restaurant was on Threadneedle Street in November 2014, exactly a year later in 2015 we opened Victoria and now we only opened Twickenham in September 2017 so on average we have one restaurant almost every year and three since our inception have opened .”
