How to Enable and Disable the Feature

If you’re tired of Disney+ playing movies and shows without asking you to, you can turn off autoplay. Here’s how to do it.

When you’re done watching something on Disney+, you’ll notice that the next episode or a related movie queues up to play next. Wait a moment and it will play automatically. If you like binge-watching, this is a great feature. But for some people, autoplay is a nuisance.

On Disney+, autoplay is on by default, except on the child’s profile. If you want, you can change this setting. We’ll show you how to enable and disable autoplay on Disney+.

How to Enable or Disable Autoplay on Disney+

Disney+ autoplay settings apply per profile and are stable across devices. For example, you can follow the instructions below on your phone, and this setting will change for your computer and TV as well.

  1. Your choice profile icon. On a web browser, it’s on the top right. On mobile, it’s on the bottom right. On a smart TV, navigate left and it’s at the top of the menu.
  2. Selection Edit ProfileS.
  3. Select the profile for which you want to adjust the autoplay settings.
  4. Convert Autorun on or off.
  5. Selection Accomplished.

Disney + Autoplay not working?

While often the Disney+ autoplay feature works as intended, sometimes it doesn’t work even if you have enabled the feature through the method outlined above. If this happens to you, try signing out, restarting the Disney+ app and your device, and then signing back in. Also, update the Disney+ app if an update is pending.

Unfortunately, if these Disney+ troubleshooting steps don’t help then the fault may be in Disney’s hands. Previously, the PS4 and Roku versions of the Disney+ app had broken autoplay; the only solution is to wait for Disney+ to patch and release an update. To speed up the process and make the company aware of the error, you should contact their customer service department.
