Huge fire breaks out at Scots hotel as emergency services race to seaside town

Firefighters fight a fire on the site of a former hotel.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were rushed to the empty Station Hotel in Ayr this evening.
Dramatic images from the crime scene show clouds of black smoke rising from the top of the building.
Another eyewitness photo shows flames engulfing the property.
Rail services at Ayr station were disrupted by the fire.
A ScotRail spokesman said: “We have received reports of a fire at a property close to the railway at Ayr station.
“We are working closely with the emergency services during this time and will keep you updated.
“Services will not be able to access Ayr station until it is deemed safe to do so.”
Glasgow Central to Ayr services originate and terminate in Kilwinning, whilst Ayr to Stranraer services originate and terminate in Girvan.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were attending the scene.
It comes months after two teenagers were arrested and charged after a fire broke out at the abandoned hotel.
