Hugely popular Christmas seaside attraction returns this winter with 100ft snow slide & free ice skating rink

A popular Christmas attraction is returning to a British seaside town this year, with a 100ft snow slide and free ice skating rink part of the festive fun.

Christmas by the Sea is returning to Blackpool this November, transforming the beachfront promenade into “a stunning festive village”.

In addition to a range of rides and Christmas activities, there will also be festive cabins, simulated snowfalls and much more Snow slide.

The snow slide, a unique attraction, requires visitors to climb to the top of the slide before riding a rubber ring down the 100-foot slope.

There will also be a free ice skating rink, described as the “sparkling centerpiece” of the Christmas Village.

The skating rink will be 20 meters long and access and skate rental will be free for both visitors and locals.

If you would like to have an ice skate, you just have to come along and ask; no prior reservation is necessary.

The skating rink is open daily, except Christmas Day, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

There will also be several festive rides for children, including the Candy Cane Bungee Trampolines, Santa’s Teacups, Santa’s Sleigh and a Magic Carousel.

For adrenaline junkies, Europe’s tallest swing ride, Star Flyer, is also returning to Tower Festival Headland.

Meanwhile, a range of festive snacks including hot chocolate, mulled wine, warm biscuit dough, traditional Bavarian sausages, churros and Yorkshire pudding wraps are served in illuminated wooden huts.

Christmas by the Sea takes place on the festival’s headland near Blackpool Tower and runs from November 17, 2023 to January 1, 2024.

There are also many other Christmas attractions across the country.

One of these is the Frankfurt Christmas Market in Birmingham, which is considered the largest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany.
