Humankind Explores Consoles This November

Summer Game Fest became strategic for a new trailer featuring Humankind from Sega and Amplitude Studios. Not only does it have a new update for the PC version and some recent DLCs, but also a console version of the 4X game is coming on November 4th. The footage above shows a brief clip of the console version in action, but I’m sure we’ll see more of humanity’s transition to controllers in the coming months.

A new PC DLC available now is titled “Cultures Of Latin America” which, as you may have guessed, adds new cultures, narrative events and more based on Latin America. It costs $8.99 to add a Latin heritage to your Human Civilizations. Here’s a handy bullet point list of features for this new content drop:

  • 6 new cultures: Caralans, Nazca, Taíno, Inca, Argentines and Cubans
  • 6 new Wonders: Pyramid of the Sun – Teotihuacan, Maracana Stadium, Salar de Uyuni, Salto Angel, Lençóis Maranhenses and the Atacama Desert.
  • 9 independent races
  • 15 narrative events
  • Over 30 new in-game themed music tracks composed by Arnaud Roy

But that’s not all. Amplitude today releases a “major update” for the PC version of Humankind that also implements an overhauled surrender system, rebalances War Support modifiers, previews infrastructure yield, and adds unique wonder effects. The update includes even more. So if you’re a Humankind fan, you’ve got plenty to discover in the game starting today.
