Isabel Garcia (@isabelgarcia4985) shared the solution recipe in a video with her TikTok followers.

The content creator explains that ants are simply a deal breaker for her and that having an ant-free home is non-negotiable.

“One thing I absolutely cannot stand is finding baby ants in your house,” she says.

To fix her ant problem, she started by collecting an old jar and filling it with a cup of hot water.

Next, she added two spoons of sugar and half a spoon of borax, covered the jar and shook the solution well.

“You want to shake it until the sugar and borax dissolve,” she adds.

Soaking some of the solution in a cotton ball, she explains that the process takes some time.

“Basically what happens is the ants carry the sugar home and the borax kills the ants,” she said.

“The ants will disappear in two to three days.”

She demonstrated by showing off a corner of the house filled with ants, a cotton ring soaked in the solution.

She laughed: “Starting from this tiny hole, they are going down, attracted by the road, they don’t know that they are trapped.”

People took to the comments section to share their thoughts on her DIY: “It worked, thanks!” one commenter said.

“Thank you for this, I’m fighting a losing battle,” another joked.
