Felicity Smith shared her transformation into a white sofa online in a TikTok video.

The cleaning fan explained that her first attempt at fixing the spade made things worse.

She said: “I clean my white sofa after spilling pesto pasta on it and then ruining it, and after trying to clean it some more.”

Felicity’s followers told her to use hot vinegar and dish soap.

She said: “I’ll listen to all your advice and use this concoction with hot water, vinegar and Dawn dish soap.”

Felicity also tries the baking soda methods.

She said: “And I also put baking soda on top. Then I vacuumed it.

“I’ve done that a few times and this was the result,” she added.

It wasn’t until the next day that Felicity tackled her spade again.

She said: “As you can see after leaving it overnight there are still a few stains.”

“So I use this next concoction, which is oxygen boost peroxide and baking soda.”

Felicity said: “I started dabbing it up but then it occurred to me we need to make it worse. So that’s exactly what I did.

“I left it for a couple of hours, covered and vacuumed. I blotted it to make sure it was dry and it is. Primarily.”

Felicity’s video has been viewed over 1.7 million times online.

One user said, “The fabric is starting to look rough from all the baking soda.”

Another claimed, “That’s why I could never own a white sofa.”

A third viewer suggested: “Now put it outside in full sun!!!! Sunlight naturally lightens white hair and kills germs. The spots are so small and faded now that it should work.”

“You should try to finish it! I work with custom furniture and we always recommend it to clients who don’t get quality fabrics!” said a fourth viewer.
