After a recent trip to Aldi, the savvy Scot took it upon herself to whip up a crispy chicken sandwich.

“This is my fiery crispy chicken burger with some fries on the side and is ready in 17 minutes,” she says.

“Perfect for days when dinner needs to be indulgent and doesn’t require a lot of carbs.

“Also super simple.”

I tried Aldi's Nando's - it's the easiest family dinner, the £2 side dish is the best

And the main ingredient, Aldi’s selected version of McDonald’s chicken, costs just £2.69 for four dishes.

“It’s true,” Emma said Aldi Cheat. These crispy chicken pieces are said to be McDonald’s selected breed of chicken [but] I can confidently say they are 10 times better.

For an easy meal, Emma puts the chicken pieces in the air fryer for 15-18 minutes.

In the final five minutes, she “generously” tops the patties with another Aldi dupe – Nando’s inspired Peri Peri garlic sauce (£1.49).

While the chicken is cooking, grill your burger and add some cheese to melt. Emma used seeded brioche, which costs £1.09 for a pack of four, and smoked cheddar cheese.

To finish off the meal, Emma says: “Add nachos to your plate, I cover the mines with salsa and top with some Peri Peri OH MY chicken.

“Then wrap up your burgers. I added some salsa and Peri Peri sauce, enjoy.”

And social media users are eager to try this simple dish.

One person exclaimed: “Craving for a dinner like this.”

A second wrote: “This looks amazing.”

A third added: “It doesn’t look real.”

Meanwhile, a fourth person simply said: “Yummm.”
