I decided to revamp my old patio with some fake brick print… people hate how off-centred it is, but I love it

A DIY mom has divided social media users after sharing her new patio made of fake bricks, which some say is very decentralized in nature.

Renovating the terrace can be expensive. But instead of opting for a new, mom, TikTok user @loseitin2023She decided to get a little smarter and transform it herself.

According to the DIY lover, she got the sudden inspiration after coming across a video online of someone stamping their garden with faux bricks.

This seemed like a great idea, especially since the family’s pressure washer wasn’t working properly and the outside area was very dirty.

For supplies, the mother betrayed her videoShe’d grabbed some dark paint, a square sponge, and some tape.

By placing the sponge in different directions, the craft enthusiast hoped to create a brick-like effect, with the project taking just over an hour to complete.

Very happy with the result, the mother said, “It’s not perfect.” But I’m really happy with it, especially once I’ve dismantled my furniture.”

The DIY fanatic also lovingly thanked her son for entertaining his mother during the process.

However, the reaction on TikTok, where the video garnered a whopping 803,000 views, was mixed — and not everyone was a fan.

“The off-center patio bothers me,” said one person.

Someone wanted to know, “What happens if it needs to be washed again?”

Another added: “I just can’t get over the fact that it looks like tire tread.”
