An anonymous Redditor, u/Known_Priority_8157 shared a social media post they stumbled upon.

One parent revealed their children’s names: “My youngest daughter is Cherry-Blue and my little boy is Rocka Sixx. I chose the names because they are unique and cool!” she said.

The Redditor joked that given the mother’s taste in names, they didn’t want to know what the eldest daughter’s name was.

“Do I even want to know what the eldest daughter’s name is?” They asked.

While the mother was engaged and happy with the names she chose, others were less so.

Many took to the comments to shame the mother for the unique names:

“This person, who appears to be about 39 years old and whose personality is no older than 15, is a prime example of someone having no real adult identity,” one critic said.

“Giving your kids a name like that and looking like that is like a teenager wearing a band shirt. Hey, everyone look at me and what I like!”

Others joked about the names: “Cherry-Blue sounds like a Mountain Dew flavor,” one commenter said.

Others thought the son’s name was just as bad: “And Rocka Sixx sounds like a bar for metalheads,” joked another.

Some agreed that the names were unique, but not necessarily in a good way.

“They are certainly unique because when you hear them you wouldn’t assume they are people’s names,” one commenter said.
