Reddit user Nurse Kaila took to social media to share her disinterest in a newborn baby’s name.

They shared a screenshot of a Facebook birth announcement with the newborn’s name to a popular Reddit group.

According to the website, the online group is meant to “poke fun at terrible names and naming culture.”

To protect the privacy of both mom and baby, large emojis were superimposed over their faces in the Reddit post.

“A BABY IS BORN! Welcome to the world of Revnalyn Gyda,” read the caption above the original photo.

At the bottom of the screenshot, a comment contained the phonetic spelling of the name: Rev-na-lyn Gee-duh.

The Reddit user simply wrote it with a simple “whyyyyyy”.

People couldn’t help but spend their two cents via the name in the comment section of the post.

“The best I can say is that both Revna (meaning ‘raven’) and Gyda (meaning ‘God’s’) are obscure female Old Norse names. Why they had to slap a “Lynn” on the end is beyond me,” shared one.

“The fact that they had to say how both names are pronounced,” commented one Reddit user.

“She really just threw down some Scrabble tiles and broke up,” said another.

“That’s a clumsy sip,” added one reader.
