Lauren (@laushealthylife) shared the video with over 60,000 TikTok followers.

The blonde, who was five weeks postpartum, was shocked by the treatment she received after she shared a viral video of her baby on a walk.

“I feel like we need to have a little chat about mom shaming,” she said.

One commenter criticized the mom for how she approached walking her baby: “The sun is so bright in bubs eyes! Put something over it!” they said.

The mom explained that comments of that variety were, unfortunately, common.

“This is a five-second clip so it’s not like anyone knows exactly how our entire walk was,” she said.

“I replied and said that I don’t need advice, we actually use a shade, and that this is just a five-second clip.”

The viewer, unfortunately, didn’t let up on the insults: “Making sure bubs’ discomfort gets you the likes, nailing motherhood,” they shot back.

Lauren urged her viewers to treat moms with more kindness: “The mom shaming in this space is truly out of hand,” she said.

People took to the comments to share their thoughts.

Many moms agreed with her sentiment: “I just had my first viral video and the amount of mom shaming… is really beating me up tonight,” said one commenter.

“It happens to me a bunch and it’s so hurtful,” said another.

“Preach mamma!! You are amazing and doing amazing!! So sorry you have to deal with this,” said a third.
