I got serious about my skincare and stopped tanning but trolls say I look 10 years older now – that was not the aim

A WOMAN has hit back at online trolls who claim she looks old.
Kayla (@kmalll6) shares her healthy lifestyle including skincare and workouts with over 300,000 followers on TikTok.
“A lot can change in a year,” she captioned a post in which she compared footage of herself in January 2021 to January 2022.
Although the 21-year-old only smiled in the latest snap, she was shocked when a spate of commentators said she had aged dramatically in a year.
“You look great but ten years older I’m confused,” wrote one.
“You went from high school to being a mom,” chipped in another.

“I mean obviously you look beautiful in both of them but why do you want to look so much older?
“Stay young as long as possible,” commented a third.
“Dude, you AGEDDDDDD! Was better before to be honest,” added a fourth.
Kayla looked visibly emotional as she returned to TikTok to respond to the first comment with Frank Ocean’s “Lost” playing in the background.

“Liv I didn’t invest in my skincare routine and quit tanning to tell myself I look 10 years OLDER what the heck,” reads the caption above the video.
The 21-year-old appeared to hold back tears in a follow-up video after reading a comment that said she had “gone from 17 to 30 years old”.
Kayla soon received a barrage of replies from commenters trying to reassure her that people had simply confused her new “mature” look with getting older.
“Not older, just more mature,” said one.
A second wrote, “I definitely think she meant maturity: less makeup, good skin, thinner face!” But so pretty either way.”
Another commented: “You went from 19 to 34 but in a good way.
“You’re really really pretty!! And your skin looks great.”
