I had a pincher bug infestation in my garden – five cheap tips to get rid of them, including a two ingredient DIY trap

IF your yard is inundated with pinch bugs, one man has shared every trick he’s tried to use to combat his own infestation.
The green-fingered influencer revealed the two-ingredient DIY trap he’s using to fight the pests.
TikTok user Grant (@gardeninggrant) explained: “I’ve been fighting pincher bugs for almost a few weeks, I’ll tell you what I’ve learned.
“That’s in case you have an infestation like me,” he told his followers.
In his Videothe TikToker showed viewers the aftermath of the bug festival on its plant leaves.
As a first tip, Grant recommended applying petroleum jelly to the base of the plant stems.

“That way, snails and earwigs can’t really climb up,” he said.
The content creator also shared the two ingredients he uses in his DIY insect traps.
Showing viewers the bottom of a plastic bottle, he said: “You can also use something like this and just fill it with some canola oil and soy sauce and make little traps. Just make sure they are level with the ground.”
As a next tip, Grant revealed the tactic that he’s “had the most success with.”
The gardening expert recommended, “Spray diatomaceous earth at the base of the plant.”
He also suggested, “Mix a few tablespoons of neem oil with water and mist the leaves at night.”
Finally, Grant shared the homemade solution he sprays on his plants as a preventive measure.
“You can also try a little homemade garlic spray. Just add some dish soap to make it stick to the leaves,” he said.
TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the hacks.
“Diatomaceous Earth blew her mind for me! We were infested,” wrote one viewer.
Another follower said: “It makes me feel better knowing I’m not the only one dealing with this. Thank’s for the Tipps!”
“You’ve been absolutely awful this year, it hasn’t been that bad in ages. I’ve been at war with them for weeks,” commented a third person.
