A SAVVY homeowner has revealed how she gave her down-to-earth patio a budget makeover — and people are obsessing with the end result.
Beth Barlow shared a step-by-step guide on how to transform her garden using just a £6 stencil and some paint.
The online content creator, known online as @homebirdbeth, regularly shares home hacks and DIY tips with her 1,100 followers.
During the 27-second TikTok roll, Beth showed what her patio looked like before, with discolored beige panels and overgrown grass filling the small rectangular space.
The handyman started by cleaning each paver before covering them all with gray masonry paint.
After one thick coat, she used white paint, a kitchen sponge, and a cheap stencil to create a mosaic print on top of each other.
Fans loved her budget transformation, with the video garnering more than 4,800 likes and 186,300 views.
Below the video, she added: “I used Dulux Weathershield Concrete Gray Wall Paint and then just white wall paint for the stencil pattern! I haven’t sealed it yet.”
Enthusiastic DIY enthusiasts can pick this up from various retailers including Homebase, with prices from as little as £20.
She also revealed she bought the stencil from Amazon, with similar styles costing just £6.60.
In the comments, DIY fans shared their reactions, with one writing, “Makes an otherwise boring little space really good for you.”
“No way does that look like great fair play,” commented another.
A third added: “Absolutely brilliant so clean and bright well done.”
While not everyone was impressed, some hinted that their chosen color was a bit dated.
Someone else said: “Why is everyone greying out, it’s so out now.”
“Won’t survive a chilly winter 31 years painter believe me,” suggested another.
