I kitted out my first home with cheap products – here’s what I regret one year on, you need to avoid a certain Asda item

When buying your first home, you may find yourself short of money when it comes to outfitting it with furniture and belongings.
However, as the old saying goes, “buy cheap, buy twice,” as one man found out.
TikTok user @mr.harry.white uploaded a video showing the things he bought for his first home which he regrets.
The first item he wishes he hadn’t bought is the Parup sofa from Ikea.
Harry explained why: “Only had it a year, the foam is awful and so flat already.”
His second regret was buying an off-white “cookware set,” as he claimed it “stained after the first use, no matter how hard you clean it.”
Wooden utensils were also among the purchases he would think twice about next Time.
He explained, “Stains instantly and holds loads of dirt.”
Harry showed how he had bought some stylish white plates from Asda but they weren’t well received either.
He said it was “Blates” [bowl/plates] and therefore “too thick to fit in the dishwasher”.
Eventually he regretted buying a “suitcase vinyl player”.
Though it may look quirky, the homeowner said it had “horrible sound and scratched vinyl.”
Harry added, “Should have just invested in a proper facility.”
His video amassed 26,000 likes and people were quick to comment.
One said: “These plates are the bane of my life. They’re so beautiful, but god I hate them.”
Another added: “I returned my couch for the same reason.”
And a third commented: “This will actually help me not to make the same mistakes! Thanks!”
However, many people claim that wooden utensils are good because they are “antibacterial.”
