I love garden furniture sets but I can’t afford them… so I DIYd my own for free & my patio looks perfect

A MAN says he loves patio furniture sets but can’t afford them – so he made his own for free to make his patio look perfect.

Gardening expert Izwe shared snaps on TikTok of the stylish set he put together from free wooden pallets.

He said: “My family wanted to put some patio furniture outside – but I couldn’t believe how expensive it was.”

“So I grabbed pallets from work and built it for free. It only took me three afternoons after work.”

“All it takes is imagination and a little transplant.”

Izwe showed how he pushed aside the pots and planters in his garden to make room for stacks of pallets.

He then sawed each pallet into planks, adding: “Taking pallets apart is hard work.”

The father then spent hours screwing the planks together into a corner bench and sanding them down to remove rough edges.

After he gave it a coat of varnish and gray paint, the bench looked like an upscale shop furniture set.

Izwe said: “The only cost was £15 for screws and £20 for stain.”

People on TikTok loved Izwe’s DIY garden furniture set.

Angela said: “You did a great job there – inspiring.”

Another said: “This is better than anything you can buy… awesome.”

Taz said: “Very nice – just need a couple of pillows to make it more comfortable and set the scene. Good work.”

It comes after a man who refused to tear down his rotting wooden garden shed revealed how he transformed it into one of the finest in the UK.
