I put my house on Airbnb – I came home and drank a whole cup of tea, then made a gross discovery in my kettle
An AIRBNB presenter made the rudest discovery in her kettle when she returned home after a long absence.
But when she found out, she had already had a cup of tea.

What she discovered was the last thing she expected, and it left her with both confusion and disgust.
Rachel Reine (@rachreine) shared her ordeal on her TikTok and fans were equally stunned.
This lady has over 24,000 followers and an additional 469,000 likes and her platform is all about: “wellness and healing.”
But there was little sign of well-being post when her awkward welcome gift was revealed to her at home.
“I had my house on Airbnb while I was away for four months,” she explained.
“[I] I just got back today and found the weirdest thing,” she said.
After her stay of several months, she returned to her snowy home in northern Michigan and was looking for a quick way to warm up.
“I forgot to turn up the heat before I got here. As soon as I arrived the first thing I did was put some water in my kettle, boil it and make some tea.
So far so normal, but things were about to take a turn for the worst.
“I drank this tea during a work meeting, the whole cup of tea, and it’s an herbal tea.
“I thought it was kind of weird, but I didn’t put much thought into it,” she said, trying to rationalize the odd taste.
“This herbal tea has been sitting in my cupboard for a while. But then I tried to make a second cup and noticed that the water coming out of the kettle was a bit discolored.
At this point, Rachel concluded that an investigation was needed. She had filled her kettle through the spout so she hadn’t noticed anything unusual.
However, upon opening the kettle it became clear very quickly that something was wrong.
“Look what I found in that kettle,” she said, dismayed.
“It’s fucking card games. What the hell.” Indeed, there were some cards at the bottom of the cauldron.
Some commentators expressed relief that there was nothing worse, while others could not help but downplay the situation.
“It tasted a little wild?” said a prankster.
“Did you feel a little red,” was another’s reply.
But this viewer’s fears were allayed: “I was terrified it was going to be a mouse.”
This fan said he’d be grateful if it was just a deck of playing cards: “Better than a turd,” they said.
The commenter agreed that the find was stunning: “That would have been probably the last, or almost the last, thing I could have imagined.”
