I thought I bought an adorable ‘tea cup’ pig but it turned out to be a VERY different beast

A woman who thought she had bought a teacup pig was stunned when it turned out to be a completely different animal.

Pet owner Lacie shared her surprise with her TikTok followers after the seemingly adorable miniature piglet didn’t grow so small.

“What I thought I was getting when I bought a teacup piggy,” she captioned her post above a montage of pictures of the cute animal.

The miniature pig usually doesn’t grow larger than a Chihuahua.

The clip is then intercut with real-life footage of Lacie revealing the real animal she ended up getting.

Lying quietly on her living room floor is a large pig, probably five times larger than the little piglet she was expecting.

Lacie’s followers flooded the comments section, suggesting that the pet owner was most likely tricked into getting the wrong animal.

“I hate breeders who refer to them as ‘teacup pigs’, ‘micro pigs’ or ‘mini pigs’. The only way to stay this small is to start doing this,” one person wrote.

“The breeder obviously lied to you.

“I got a tea baby and they don’t get bigger than a chihuahua,” another added.

Other followers admitted they had a similar experience.

“Oh my god, that’s what I thought when I got one,” one user admitted.

Lacie isn’t the first to end up with a completely different beast.

A police officer who rescued an abandoned “puppy” was shocked when it turned out to be something much more dangerous.

A citizen entered a police station in the United States with a box that he believed contained a lost dog.

But Sergeant Kyle Rybaski and his team from the Bartlett Police Department in Illinois soon realized that the “puppy” wasn’t quite what he seemed.

Upon closer inspection of the little creature, officials noticed some strange differences.

Acting on a hunch, the officer searched the internet and confirmed his theory – the cute “puppy” was actually a baby coyote.

Lacie's followers suspected that she might have fallen for a scam when getting her pet
