I transformed a grotty kids’ playhouse I bought for £40 off Facebook Marketplace into a cool den for my son, he loves it
A SAVVY mum has told how she transformed a run-down playhouse into a play den for her son on a budget.

Sharing the transformation on social media, she revealed she had snapped up the playhouse for a bargain price of £40 on Facebook Marketplace.
But the dilapidated house was in desperate need of renovation as it had clearly not been maintained.
First, she disassembled the playhouse and placed it on wood to spray it with Rustoleum.
The DIYer started by giving the door and windows a rich sage green.
She painted the rest of the playhouse gray and used textured spray paint on the brick details.
After the spray paint dried, she reassembled the house and added the finishing touches.
She added a plastic chair in the same green color, a plant on the windowsill and a mat in front of the front door.
“I’m renovating our son’s playhouse!! I forgot Movie “I put it back together and stuff but it turned out so cute and he loves it,” she captioned the post.
The simple DIY was a hit on TikTok, where she shared the video to her account @.vannabanana105.
The mother was quickly praised in the comments.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “How creative!! I love the color scheme you guys went with.”
