I tried out ear candles to clear my wax – the results were disgusting but I’m so satisfied

A TIKTOKER tried ear candling for the first time and the results were both gross and satisfying.

The influencer, who posts with the handle @_itter, chronicled her journey using the tool to remove the wax from her ears.

Then she showed the camera what the tube had revealed, and the results were amazing.

She said, “So I’ve been wondering for a while if the earwax candles actually pull the earwax out of your ear.”

She continued, “So there’s a line for you to burn it on. I put some eyeliner on it so I don’t forget.

“It sounds like a tss tss tss tss tss.

“It’s pretty good though, it’s not hot, it doesn’t hurt. It just crackles nicely.

“That’s me, about halfway through I was just scared the top half would fall off and burn all my hair but it didn’t do us any good.”

Then she unwrapped the tube to see what was inside.

The influencer said: “So here’s the verdict: I think the light stuff is just the beeswax as it melted.

“But the dark stuff is my real earwax, in my opinion, and that’s absolutely gross, but also very satisfying.”

Other TikTokers were quick to comment on the video, which has more than half a million likes.

One person said: “It helps relieve the pressure of an earache. Has helped me.”

Another said: “I’ve been using them for two years because I keep getting ear infections and I have to constantly clean my ears because of it. They work beautifully.”

But not everyone agreed.

One person said: “They don’t work. It looks the same when it burns on its own.”

Another said: “Firstly it doesn’t work, secondly it’s dangerous. Please don’t do that.”

A third said: “Do it without the ear… the wax will still be there.”

Another said: “They don’t do anything. But I had to research them many years ago.”
