Though many of us equate sit-ups with abs, one fitness fan said there’s a more efficient way to a ripped stomach.
After changing her routine, she watched her body get tighter and tighter.
Self-proclaimed Gym Barbie Steph Heintz (@stepheintz) wants to help women achieve their fitness goals and often shares her exercises and health advice on TikTok.
In one video, she said the more you know, the better off you’ll be.
“Things I wish I knew before I got my waist ripped off,” she wrote in the Video.
Laying on her back in a classic pink workout set, she lifted her butt and began raising and lowering one leg at a time.
“Deep-core pilates and leg bridges instead of sit-ups flatten your stomach and tighten your waist.”
Hoping to provide an education for those embarking on a fitness journey, Steph explained why she advocates this type of training.
“I used to waste my time doing so many sit-ups at the gym, but I never felt it in my abs or lower abdomen.
“Since changing my routine to include deep Pilates exercises and leg bridges, I have completely transformed my body, flattened my stomach and tightened my waist.”
In an exclusive interview with The US Sun, Steph revealed she’d lost 50 pounds since committing to healthy eating and increased her desire to inspire others.
“My content is based on my experiences, mistakes I’ve made along the way, the key factors in my transformation, and the things I wish I knew earlier,” she said.
