I was a big singer and reality star of the 2000s, but now I’ve left Hollywood for a simple life

There appears to be a change taking place among Hollywood’s heavyweights as celebrities leave Tinseltown in droves.

Jessica Simpson is the latest star to turn her back on the spotlight to focus on her happiness.

Jessica Simpson has decided to move to Nashville with her family to live a quieter life

The 43-year-old singer and fashion designer has temporarily moved to Nashville, Tennessee with her family.

She and her husband Eric Johnson, 44, have also put their LA mansion in Hidden Hills up for sale for $22 million.

“Being in Nashville, even my kids say, ‘You laugh all the time. You’re so happy,'” she told E! News.

“It’s because I’m not on guard,” she explained, referring to LA.

“It’s not about the celebrities — it’s really about the music, the heart and the conversation,” she said of Nashville.

Jessica was a true icon of the 2000s, but her title came with struggle.

Her body was constantly shamed and her weight came under scrutiny as she was compared to Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

Jessica isn’t the only star of the noughties to turn her back on Hollywood.

Mark Wahlberg, his wife Rhea Durham and their four children Ella (20), Grace (13), Michael (17) and Brendan (14) moved to Las Vegas.

Speaking to Fox News Digital in April, the 52-year-old actor said he wanted to give his children “the chance to thrive.”

“It just has the best of both worlds. I know a lot of people, when they think of Las Vegas, they think of the Strip,” he said.

“But just about 15, 20 minutes away there are a whole bunch of other great areas that are all about family and community.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban bought a home in Nashville in 2007, just a year after getting married.

She previously said in an interview with Jess Cagle: “This country music community is a very welcoming community. She is very protective. Keith has been a part of it for decades now. It’s his home, it’s our home.”

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively chose New York over LA in 2012.

They live with their four children James, eight, Inez, six, Betty, three, and a baby, whose name and gender have not been revealed at Pound Ridge.

Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves also decided to move to his native Texas in 2012.

Camila previously told Fox News Digital: “Coming from Brazil and then coming to Texas, I discovered a lot of similarities in terms of the practices of families here, especially going to church on Sundays and being very outdoors. “It was like that.” a great transition.

“We lived in Malibu for many years and had the paparazzi at our door every day, every single day. When that becomes normal, you don’t realize how much it actually affects the things you do until you actually go and get out of it.”
