I was embarrassed by hair loss and avoided mirrors but incredible transformation has made me look 20 YEARS younger

A retiree who was “too embarrassed to look in the mirror” now looks “20 years younger” after undergoing an incredible transformation.

But now she says her life has changed after receiving a £350 ‘hair system’.

The 78-year-old, from Walkergate, Newcastle upon Tyne, experienced the incredible transformation at hair replacement company Novo Cabelo – which documented Brenda’s big day on TikTok.

Heartwarming video shows staff tossing glasses to Brenda as they work their magic.

When she saw the finished work, her eyes welled up in tears and she wondered, “Do I have that much hair?”

Meanwhile, the celiac has revealed the transformation will boost her confidence to hit the shops more, and she even claimed that “her head should be huge” given all the compliments she’s been showered with.

Brenda, from Walkergate, Newcastle upon Tyne, said: “It feels good not to have to be embarrassed going out. I no longer have to be ashamed and think, ‘I don’t want to look at myself’.

“It changed everything. I’m getting out more now because I feel confident and that’s an amazing feeling. Everyone I spoke to was so polite and friendly. My head should be huge.”

“People say I look 20 years younger, but I still have the brains of a 78-year-old. My body is old but my hair is young. I haven’t seen myself like this in so long.”

“I was nervous because I was afraid of the unknown. It felt like I was having major surgery with no anesthetic, but I just drifted with it. I couldn’t imagine how it would turn out.”

“When I saw it, I was stunned. I started touching it thinking I could feel hair and I haven’t been able to for so long. It doesn’t feel like it’s not yours. I was emotional because it’s amazing.

“I used to just hate it [my hair] and I didn’t like being photographed. Every time I looked in the mirror I just thought: “What am I supposed to do here?”. I couldn’t understand.

“I just let it grow out and secured it with a clip that pinned my hair back and kind of covered the part of my hair. It kept coming back and that completely drained my confidence.”

“When I was younger, I had tons of hair. I had the beehive hairstyle and this fashion came three times. I had lots of dark hair. It was never curly, but I had a lot of thin hair.”

Brian said: “It’s like being married to someone 20 years younger. It’s good that I still have a lot of hair.”

“[The transformation] is beautiful, so I’m so happy for her. It’s spot on. You can’t wish for anything better.

“I was really shocked when I saw her for the first time. I found her very attractive. She doesn’t look bad, you know?”

Brenda believes her hair loss is due to the immune system disease celiac disease she was diagnosed with in 2017, but claims she has been suffering from it for 20 years.
