Nobody knows it better than this mom — but luckily she’s come up with a cheap trick to get her little daughter ready for bedtime — and all you need is a household favorite.
In a short clip on TikTok, Allison (@agoyneee_xo) revealed the parenting hack, which has since gone viral and has garnered a staggering 4.6 million views since it was uploaded.
The mother-of-one, who regularly takes to social media to discuss pregnancy and motherhood, explained that she’s always found it particularly difficult to go to bed with her daughter.
This was until she encountered a hack from the social media giant — one she claimed was making sleep patterns “life-changing.”
“I saw a video on TikTok where someone said if you give your baby a banana before bed, they’ll sleep through the night.
“And anyone who knows me knows I’ve had the absolute worst sleeper since I was born,” the mother claimed while her daughter played in the background.
Desperate for a change, the mum was willing to try anything and decided to try the banana trick – it worked like a charm and she hasn’t looked back since.
“We’re about eight months old and she sleeps through the night.”
Along with kitchen products like milk and chamomile tea, bananas are proven to be one of the best natural remedies for sleep problems.
High in tryptophan — an amino acid associated with better sleep — bananas are also high in potassium, which acts as a great muscle relaxant.
This sweet fruit is also packed with carbs and B6 and makes the perfect bedtime snack.
Another fan of the hack added, “This can also help with growing pains, which are very strong even for young children.”
“Oh my god I feel like the Lord answered my prayers right there!!!” Another parent thanked Allison for sharing the trick.
“Okay, buy bananas tomorrow! My daughter also sleeps the worst,” a third intervened in the conversation.
