I won a £90,000 Range Rover… but I can’t drive it – here’s why

A TEENAGER has won a £90,000 Range Rover but is yet to drive it.
17-year-old Daniel Harkin-Jones was able to secure the top-class engine after entering an online competition.
The boy from Jarrow, south Tyneside, was “deeply shocked” to learn he was the lucky winner of a brand new Range Rover Kahn Velar P400.
His excitement was short-lived, however, and quickly turned to frustration when he remembered he had failed his driving test.
As soon as he secures his driver’s license in “a few months”, Daniel plans to trade in his Vauxhall Corsa for the fancy car.
The Amazon employee said, “Victory hasn’t quite arrived yet.”
“I told some of my buddies but they can’t quite believe it either.
“Looks like my Vauxhall Corsa has to go!”
Christian Williams, host of the BOTB Dream Car contest, showed up at Daniel’s family last week and presented him with the keys.
But the Range has been sitting on the ride ever since.
Christian said: “He was completely shocked.
“You could tell it was a real bolt from the blue.
“He’s a racing fanatic so it’s no wonder he chose this car – just a shame it will be a while before he can put it through its paces.”
The Range Rover has a three-liter engine and is equipped with extras such as two carbon fiber spoilers and 23-inch wheels.
It reaches a top speed of 250 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
