I won whopping £500k National Lottery – here’s the secret to my success

A man who won the £500,000 national lottery has shared the secret of his success.
Matthew Harding has won a huge cash prize after buying a scratch card from a shop he works in in Nottingham.
Starting to scratch the Pink Multiplier Lotto ticket, he was completely shocked when he saw the number of zeros appearing.
And now the shop assistant tells about his little trick that doubles his chances of winning every time.
“I reward myself with a scratch card or two every month after payday and scratch them on the way home,” says Matthew.
“I’ve seen a few customers in the store win £20 or £40 here and there so I thought I’d give it a try.
“I’m always advised to buy two in a row because you’re more likely to win.
“There may be no real logic in it but that’s exactly what I do – I always buy them in sets.
“I was just walking to the curb of the store when I scratched the number ‘five’ and thought, ‘ah, it’s a five’.
“Then I crossed out a ‘no’ and then another ‘no’ and then, to my surprise, a ‘K’ at the end. I couldn’t believe it.
“I grabbed a random person on the street to confirm it was real and I didn’t see everything.
“They said: ‘Yes, that’s £500K, congratulations!’.”
Almost unable to contain his excitement, Matthew ran back to work, signed the back of the ticket, and called the National Lottery.
He then put the winning ticket in his sock for safekeeping before heading home to tell his partner John Drabble.
John said: “I think he was having a heart attack. He was pale, soaked and shaking – he looked like he was going to pass out.
“He couldn’t speak at first, then he said he needed to get something out of his sock.
“That’s when he took out the scratch card. We both just looked at each other, gasping ‘NO!’ in utter disbelief.”
After calling the lottery to confirm the win, Matt and John immediately started celebrating.
Matt said: “We drank three bottles of champagne!
“I can’t sleep, not because of the champagne but because of the victory. I’m still in shock.”
Still not sure what to spend the money on, Matt said the money is now in the bank with the most expensive item they bought to date was a £98 portable printer.

However, the couple said they would love to buy a vacation home and get married.
Scratch cards cost £2 and have prizes ranging from £2 to £500,000.
