But the least glamorous part is being on a ship?
It’s the laundry room.
Two decks below sea level you can see the crew’s washroom with washers, dryers and ironing boards.
It also houses cleaning supplies and fresh linens for staff — and guests don’t go there.
You can watch Melissa cleaning and vacuuming as she reveals the less outlandish part of her seemingly glamorous job aboard a ship.
The video garnered an impressive 11,400 likes and over 100 comments.
She even takes you on a tour of the incinerator where the crew disposes of their trash.
Melissa said: “This is what a typical afternoon in my life as a crew member looks like.
“It’s not all beach days. Unfortunately we still have chores to do. And we try to fit them into our schedules whenever we have some free time.”
But it’s not all so bad – the staff mess where the crew takes their meals is “elegant” and well decorated. The food doesn’t look bad either.
Fans were quick to comment on the video, and some were surprised at the inside information.
One viewer wrote: “Got to clean your own cabin??!!”
Others loved TikTok and one said: “Thanks, I love watching your videos. I will be cruising again soon.”

Melissa isn’t the first cruise ship employee to share what her life on board a cruise ship is like.
