Ibai Sells Out Tickets for His Twitch Boxing Match in One Hour

Spanish Twitch streamer Ibai Llanos started the countdown for La Velada del Año IIIhis annual streamer vs. streamer boxing match slash summer concert, on Thursday night – all tickets for the event sold out just an hour after going on sale online.

Llanos unveiled the musical cast for the Velada, which means “The Night of the Year III” in English, and kicked off ticket sales in a live stream on Thursday. flanked by Kosmos President and ex-soccer player Gerard Piquéwhose company supports the streamer’s crazy events and sponsors his eSports team, Llanos announced that some of the world’s hottest Spanish-speaking artists would be performing at the match, including Ozuna, Quevedo and Feid.

The two hour stream from Llanos was watched by one an average of 230,000 people, according to streaming data provider Streams Charts. At one point, 301,819 people tuned in to watch the stream and more than 100,000 waited in a virtual queue to buy tickets. In addition, the insane demand during the stream caused the ticket website to crash at times.

“We sold out an event with 60,000 tickets in an hour,” Llanos said tweeted just before midnight on Thursday. “This is absolutely insane. We will try to meet your expectations.

As for the streamers, the event will compete against 12 of the biggest Spanish speaking streamers in Spain and Latin America including Ampeter, PapiGavi, Rivers, Luzu and Fernanfloo. One of the most anticipated fights is between US streamer Amouranth, the first English speaking streamer to attend one of the Llanos boxing events, and Spanish streamer Mayichi. On Thursday, Amouranth has been banned from Twitch for the first time since 2021, although the reasons for the ban are currently unknown.

La Velada del Año is the signature twitch event of Llanos. It holds the World record for most concurrent viewerson Twitch with 3.3 million viewers last year.

La Velada del Año III will take place on July 1st in Madrid, Spain.
