Ice-T Says It’s Easy to Make the Streets Think You’re a Gangster

Rap OG Ice-T keeps dropping gems on Twitter and recently posted a post that appeared to address situations like the one Young Thug recently found.

On Wednesday (May 11), Ice-T shared a video of Thugger on an episode of Million Dollars Worth of the Game podcast from last May. In the clip, the Wallo267 co-host tries to learn Thug about staying out of situations that could get him locked up.

“I’m speaking from a place of trying to give niggas some real play,” said Wallo, who served 20 years in prison for an armed robbery. MDWG podcast with his cousin, rapper Gillie The Kid. “Because I’ll tell you some bad things, Thug. It’s lonelier than a monster in [prison]. “

In a follow-up tweet, Ice-T offered some advice on his own. “It’s easy to make the Street think you’re a gangster… It’s hard to convince the Feds you’re NOT.. Via ICE T,” he entered along with a diamond emoji.

On Monday (May 9), Young Thug, Gunna and 26 others linked to YSL were indicted on RICO charges. The Fulton County District Attorney in Atlanta has accused the record label of actually being a street crime gang that has committed dozens of crimes over the past decade including murder, armed robbery and drug distribution. Gunna surrendered to the authorities the next day. As of press time, both artists have been refused binding and remain locked up at the Fulton County Jail.

Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, issued a statement to XXL, denied involvement in this rapper’s crime. “Mr. Williams did not break the law, anything. We will fight this case ethically, legally and enthusiastically. Mr. Williams will be cleared,” he said.

Steel recently filed an emergency request for Young Thug to bind, claiming that the rapper’s rights are being violated as a result of his jail terms.

Ice-T isn’t the only celebrity to come up with a maxim about the situation. Comedian DL Hughley recently commented on the arrest on social media. “People seem to have forgotten, the power of life and death is in the tongue!” he tweeted. “If you call yourself #Thug and #Gunna, what you will probably do is go to jail! #TeamDl. “
