But this video has hit a sore spot for many plus size women who are also looking for love in the dating scene.
In her video, she syncs to a track by Harley that sums up her feelings: “I feel so god-d*amn inferior.”
Beautifully made up and with her red hair casually pinned up, the influencer confides in her audience about her experiences, and that makes for painful listening.
“Dating as a big girl,” she captions her video, before listing comments she has endured from potential suitors.

“Do you really think I would date someone your height?” or “I think your boyfriend is handsome.”
The horrors continue: “We can have sex, but I wouldn’t date you.”
There are more cruel side notes: “Don’t tell anyone we’re dating, it’s better to keep it a secret.”
And even: “Ew, I didn’t know you were that tall.”
The sad litany of insults gets worse: “Nobody else is going to want you, you’re lucky I want you.”
After all that, she wonders, “The feeling that if you lost weight, they’d show you more.”
Her post attracted many thousands of likes and over 300 comments, each with their own sad dating stories as a plus size woman.

“That’s why I don’t trust anyone when they say they like me,” was one comment.
“You’re really cool and a great friend, we should meet up but I’m not ready for anything serious,” is a familiar phrase known to another.
Worse, “I’m so traumatized now that I’m now the one asking her to keep it a secret so her friends don’t laugh at her.”
“I’m not even considered plus-size, but finding a guy who isn’t ashamed of what he likes is really hard,” was the view of another.
But many added their positive spin.
“You’re perfect just the way you are, Tash, never think otherwise.”

Don’t change one thing: “You are perfect just the way you are. Don’t let anyone get you down. You are gorgeous.”
Concluding: “I used to feel the same way, but real men will never make you feel like an inferior girl. Weight should never hold you back, you are beautiful.”
